A lovely wedding at Ruthin Castle – such a stunning venue to work at all year round. Capturing perfect memories for Claire and David was an absolute pleasure. A thouroughly enjoyable day for all and over 340 images for Claire and David to remember every moment of theire perfect day. Here is a small selection of my personal favourites …..
Northop hall Hotel was the location for the wedding of Kirsty and Kenny another fantastic hotel to work at. Bridal preps at the hotel gave for some colourful shots of the flowers and accessories Kirsty had carefully put together for her special day. Outside in the gardens then to meet up with Kenny and to take some pre-wedding shots of the groomsmen. Back to the bridal suite ready for the bride and bridesmaids to make their stunning entrance in the ceremony suite with some portrait shots of the bridesmaids and Kirsty.
The ceremony was perfect, some very special moments captured perfectly for their wedding album. After the ceremony there was time for a few natural shots of the guests while they relaxed with a drink in the gardens of the hotel. Whisking the bride and groom off for 20 minutes was perfect to get some romantic poses and with a very special arrival due in just a couple of weeks time we took a couple of baby bump shots for the happy couple too. Rejoining their guests we organised a full group shot before the wedding breakfast was served. Some shots of the speeches and the cutting of the cake before a short break to allow the couple and their family and friends to enjoy their meal and relax.
Back for the evening reception a little later, capturing the guests around the tables enjoying the atmosphere before it was time for the first dance. The days coverage was complete with some stunning night shots in the gardens. With almost 300 edited images for the couple to choose from for their album it was a difficult choice to select a few for the blogs but here goes..
Another visit to Llyndir Hall for the wedding of Rebecca and Steven. Another beautiful day with an outdoor ceremony to celebrate their wedding day. Bridal preps at the hotel made for some beautiful shots of the girls preparing for the day ahead. Then down to meet the groom and the groomsmen for some pre-wedding shots around the gardens.
Back to the bridal suite to capture Rebecca as she left for her outdoor ceremony. The lighting was perfect for the ceremony coverage and we captured some fantastic shots of the exchanging vows and rings.
The gardens in Llyndir are a must for some romantic shots of the newly weds, just 20 minutes around the gardens ensure we have got those all important poses. We also used the stunning bridal suite for some mirror shots before meeting back up with the couples family and friends for the confetti shot and some traditional family and group shots finishing off with a full group shot perfectly in time for the wedding breakfast.
The entertaining speeches always include some emotional shots and this wedding was no different – tears; smiles and of course laughter.
After a short break it was time for the eveing receptions and capturing the couple and their guests naturally around the hotel and gardens before it was time for the first dance. We ended the days coverage with a couple of night shots in the gardens. Over 300 editied images for the couple to choose their album images from, here are a small selection from their day …..
A beautiful sunny August day for Beckie and Josh’s wedding to be held at their family church in Llansantffraid. St Ffraids is such a picturesque church and made for some excellent shots both during and after the ceremony. The day began with bridal preparations before heading over to meet the lads at the church. Some natural shots of the guests arriving whilst waiting for Beckie’s arrival. The ceremony was captured perfectly and after the traditional shots we had some fun shots in the Church grounds before heading off to Chirk Castle Gates for some more romantic poses en route to their wedding breakfast at The Venue Park Hall.
With the blue skies and perfect sunshine the shots by the castle gates were stunning, I always suggest we stop off for some shots when reception venues are a bit limited as it just makes for a picture perfect wedding album.
When we arrived at The Venue we captured all the beautiful table decorations and of course the staged cutting of the cake before the guests were seated for the pre-wedding breakfast speeches.
A short break then whilst the couple and their guests enjoyed their meal before heading back for the eveing celebrations and more relaxed shots of the guests enjoyng the party atmosphere. The days coverage ended with the first dance and a coule of night shots outside. With almost 350 images for Beckie and Josh to select their favourites for their wedding album, here are a selectionof mine that tell the story of their day ..
Kelly & Matthew decided their wedding day would be a family celebration day and they would have their son Harvey’s Christening at the same service. Their chosen Church was the picturesque St Mary’s in Ruabon with a wedding breakfast and christening party to follow at the equally picturesque setting of our local venue – The Lion Quays Hotel and Spa.
The coverage began with the bridal preparations and some fun shots of the girls getting ready. On to the church to meet Matthew and the very handsome Harvey all ready for the celebratory day ahead. We got some fantastic shots of Harvey in his suit and of course some equally great shots of Matthew and his best man – who was also his Dad! Some natural shots of the guests arriving and then the arrival of the bridesmaids, before Kelly arrived with her Dad in the wedding car.
Some fantastic shots of the beautiful bride and Dad walking up to the Church and then down the aisle to meet her future husband. The wedding ceremony was first and the couple exchanged their vows and rings before signing the register. Then it was Harveys turn, and some great shots of him being Christening with all his family around him.
More natural shots of the couple and their guests outside the Church before we took some traditional group shots here.
After a confetti shot at the Church we moved on then to the stunning Lion Quays Hotel. A few shots of the bride and groom arriving then a full group shot before I took the couple off for half an hour to capture some more romantic shots around the gardens and to allow their guest to mingle and enjoy a drink before the weding breakfast. Finishing of with some shots in the bridal suite we then rejoined the guests to the hotel and couples requested time (as always) for their wedding breakfast. Some great shots of the couple and their guests being entertained by the speeches concluded the daytime coverage.
After a short break it was time for more relaxed coverage of the guests around the tables awaiting the first dance and the cutting of not one but two cakes – the wedding cake and Harveys christening cake. The first dance followed and not to be left out, Harvey took to the floor to clap for his Mummy and Daddy. Almost 400 fully edited images for Kelly and Matthew to remember this family celebration day, and here are my favourite selections from the day ….
Llangollen was the venue for the wedding of Gemma and Carl – The Wild Pheassant Hotel. The day began with some fun shots of the girls preparing for the day ahead and some photographs of the dress, flowers and accessories in the bridal suite. On then to meet up with the groom in the hotel gardens for some shots of him and his groomsmen whilst waiting for the arrival of the first guests.
Back to the bridal suite and some beautiful shots of the bride ready to walk down the aisle. The ceremony coverage gave for some stunning shots of the exchanging of vows and rings ending with the signing of the register. After the confetti shot we took the bride and groom around the gardens for some romantic shots whilst their guests enjoyed some post ceremony drinks. Time for the family and group shots finishing perfectly in time for the wedding breakfast. The speeches once again entertained the guests before I left them to enjoy their meal.
Back later in the day for the evening coverage, more natural shots of the guests enjoying Gemma and Carl’s wedding day before they took to the floor for their first dance. With such a georgous evening sky we finished the evening with some outdoor shots on the hotel bridge, the colours in the sky were amazing. A fantastic day with some beautiful memories captured. With almost 300 images for the couple to remember their day, here are a few I have chosen to tell their wedding day story ….
A beautiful outdoor ceremony for Jade and Richard’s wedding at Rossett Hall. With the weather being perfect, we knew we could get some fabulous photographs of the day in the hotel gardens.
The coverage began with the bridal preps before heading to the hotel to meet up with the groom and the traditional pre-wedding shots with his best man. The gardens were all set up ready for the ceremony so we captured some natural shots of the guests arriving before everyone took their seats for the bride and bridesmaids to arrive.
The sun shone throughout the ceremony and the bride looke stunning in her dress. Atfer the signing of the register we captured the family and shost with the bridesmaids before organising a full group shot of all the guests. Allowing the bride and groom time to relax and enjoy a drink while chatting to their guests, some more natural shots were taken around the gardens.
To get those all important romantic shots i whisked the bride and grrom off for 30 mins arond the garden – and captured some stunning shots for their album. We also used this time for a visit to the bridal suit for some shots along with the interior of the hotel.
Time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches which entertained the guests.
After a short break it was on to the evening reception, more relaxed shots of the guests around the tables and enjoying the eving sun in the gardens before ending with the first dance. With over 300 images for the couple to choose from for their album here are just a very small selection from their day I think tells their wedding day story perfectly …
Well what a quirky but stunning wedding venue this is! A Napoleonic Fort set right in the heart of Snowdonia with magnificent sea and mountain views, sand dunes and deserted beaches it was a perfect place for a wedding.
A pre-wedding visit to this beautiful venue gave us the insight into how spetacular this wedding was going to be. Canon salute, fireworks, marquee overlooking the sea and a vintage themed wedding.
The day began with the bridal preps in a small cottage just outside Caernarfon where the bride was stopping the night before the wedding. After capturing the girls getting ready it was off to the fort to meet up with the groom and get ready for the long day ahead.
A personalised flag for the couple flew on the Fort’s clock tower and the Fort’s courtyard had been set up ready for the outdoor ceremony. Some shots with the groom and his best men and then on to capturing the arrival of the guests.
the ceremony was a splash of colour – yellow was the theme of the day and it worked perfectly with the blue skies and sandy beaches. After making full use of the stunning scenery and the beach, it was time for the canon salute marking the wedding day.
On then to the wedding breakfast and speeches before the cutting of the cake. As the weather was perfect the guests could enjoy the last of the evening sun before the first dance. The day ended with a firework display with bursts of colour lighting up the sky over the sea.
With almost 400 images from the days coverage it has been a struggle to select a few for the blogs – but here are a few of my favourites from the day …
A first visit to The Holiday Inn Cheshire Oaks for True Reflections, but as with all new venues a pre-wedding visit had been made to ensure I knew the lighting and best areas for photography. The wedding day went well. Coverage began in the bridal suite with the girls helping kirsty to prepare for the day ahead. Outside I met up with Dan and his best man for some shots on the quay side.
The ceremony was captured perfectly, one of my favourite shots from the day is as Dan catches first sight of his bride at the top of the red carpet – beautiful!
Post ceremony we headed outdoors to take advantage of the hotel grounds – using the bridges to their uptmost to get some picture perfect shots.
The speeches entertained the guests at the wedding breakfast before a short break to prepare for the evening guests to arrive. With the first dance captured along with the bride and dad dance, that ended the coverage for the day. Almost 300 fully edited images captured from Kirsty and Dan’s wedding day for themto choose for their album.
The staff at tthe Holiday Inn ensured the day went as planned and I look forward to capturing my next wedding there in the not too distant future.
Kirsty & Dan’s album is now being designed and I look forward to presenting this lovely couple with their wedding album very soon.
Another vsit to my local hotel for the wedding of Megan and Jake. The coverage began in the Lion Quays with the bridal preparations. The girls were busy helping Megan prepare for the day ahead so after a few shots I went off to meet Jake and the groomsmen at the quay side. After a few shot of the lads and the grooms family, there was time to capture some natural shots of the guests arriving before heading back to capture the bride on her way to the ceremony room.
The ceremony is held in the conservatory, a beautiful room with natural lighting to capture the exchanging of vows. A fantastic and colourful confetti shot outside before we took the important family and group shots.
The gardens at the Lion Quays are perfect for wedding photographs , and we certainly maid the most of them wth Megan and Jake, using the quayside and the bridge at the side of the hotel as backdrops for the photographs. With some stunning romantic shots captured for the couples album, it was time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches.
A lovely evening enabled me to take some relaxed shots of the guests inthe gardens before the evening reception started. Some more relaxed shots of the guests around the tables and ending the day with the real cake cutting and the all important first dance.
With almost 350 images for the couple to select their album choice from, it made for a difficult choice for the blog page too. Here are a small selection from the story of Megan and Jake’s wedding day ….
